DEWALT Racing’s Scott Pye kicked off a milestone weekend strongly, finishing third fastest in final practice before the Mount Panorama 500.
Pye started the weekend with results of sixth and third in the two 60-minute sessions respectively, as he prepares to make his 250th Supercars Championship start in Race 1 tomorrow.
Team 18 heads back on track at 9:05am tomorrow for a 20-minute qualifying session, followed by a top ten shootout at 12:10pm to set the grid for the first race of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship kicking off at 3:00pm.
Scott Pye, driver – #20 DEWALT Racing Holden ZB Commodore
“We had two 60-minute practice sessions today and we finished up third fastest in a positive day for the team.
“The #20 DEWALT car feels good, but we need a little bit of a tune-up overnight to find some more speed tomorrow.
“We did the first 2:05 lap in that second session on an old tyre and went a tenth faster on greens, so we need to find a way to get the car to switch on a little bit quicker, but overall it hasn’t been a bad day for us.”
